STARK Group is recruiting a Yard Sales Adviser for its Jewson branch in Hexham. This is an opportunity for someone with a passion for customer service, teamwork and building materials to join a busy branch and help deliver excellent service to customers.
Job Title: Yard Sales Adviser

Salary: Competitive basic salary, plus performance-related bonus
Job Type: Full-Time
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5pm, plus alternate Saturdays, 8am–12pm
Work Location: Site-Based
About The Role
You will support customers in the yard, at the counter and across the shop floor, helping them find the right products while maintaining high operational standards. The role also involves handling stock, loading and unloading vehicles and supporting sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, understand their needs and provide efficient service.
- Build positive customer relationships and identify current and future requirements.
- Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor.
- Safely operate machinery and carry out operational duties.
- Offload, pick, pack and restock materials.
- Load and unload customer vehicles manually and using a forklift.
- Support initiatives to improve sales, profit margins and customer service.
- Develop knowledge of core and specialist product ranges.
Forklift training will be provided.
