ABOUT THE ROLE

• Work as the primary Cook at the new Cue & Darts Lounge venue at Newcastle Quays Retail Park, Royal Quays, North Shields.
• Prepare high-quality elevated pub food including wings, loaded nachos and burgers.
• Prepare café light bites including sandwiches and paninis.
• Prepare afternoon teas, scones and sweet treats.
• The role also includes getting to know customers and serving on the counter.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and cook menu orders quickly while maintaining quality.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and sanitary.
• Monitor stock levels and report when essential ingredients are running low.
• Ensure food is consistently presented and prepared to a high standard.
• Work closely with front-of-house staff to provide smooth service.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Pub, lounge, café or deli experience is beneficial.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or above.
• Experience with NCASS.
• Ability to remain calm and effective during busy periods.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Passion for producing quality food.
• 5 years’ kitchen/cooking experience is stated as required in the application details.
• Ability to work weekends until 10pm.
