About The Role
Vertu Ducati Sunderland is looking for an experienced Motorcycle Technician to join its expanding workshop team.
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing new and used motorcycles, carrying out servicing and inspections, diagnosing faults and ensuring all work meets the company’s health and safety standards.
The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining workshop productivity and completing jobs within agreed timescales.

Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and repair new and used motorcycles.
- Carry out inspections and check motorcycles against relevant VOSA requirements.
- Diagnose mechanical and technical faults.
- Complete visual health checks and road tests.
- Ensure all repairs and servicing are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and service records.
- Handle and store parts correctly.
- Follow workshop health and safety procedures.
- Maintain high levels of productivity and workmanship.
- Deliver excellent customer service and contribute to customer satisfaction targets.
What Vertu Motors Is Looking For
Applicants must have:
- A relevant formal qualification, such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3, as a minimum.
- Motorcycle maintenance and repair experience.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
- The ability to meet targets and work to agreed deadlines.
- A commitment to high standards of customer service.
Experience in a franchised dealership is desirable but not essential, as ongoing manufacturer training will be provided.
An MOT licence would be an advantage but is not essential. Car or commercial vehicle technicians with motorcycle experience may also be suitable.
