Xplor Technologies is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join its Finance Division. This fully remote UK role involves supporting day-to-day finance operations, month-end reporting and reconciliations, with occasional meet-ups at the company’s Newcastle office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete accurate month-end reconciliations using OneStream.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, valuations, useful-life allocations and reporting.
• Prepare monthly capitalisation of labour reports and fixed asset movement tables.
• Support VAT/GST returns, tax reconciliations and responses to tax authority queries.
• Analyse ledger activity for month-end reporting and tax purposes.
• Help manage corporate card expenses and follow up on late submissions.
• Assist with audit queries, journal entries and ad hoc finance projects.

Requirements:

• A degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Working towards a professional qualification such as AAT, ACCA or CIMA, or recently qualified.
• 2–5 years’ experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong accounting principles and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience with cloud-based finance systems such as NetSuite or Xero.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis and reporting.
• Experience supporting month-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and communication skills.
