Sheffield Wednesday VS Sunderland – Match Preview

Almost 4,000 Sunderland fans will be making the journey down to Hillsborough, as the Black Cats look to bounce back after their disappointing defeat last time out, against an out of sorts Owl’s side.

Sunderland’s three game winning streak, came to an end against Cardiff City last time out, as they lost 0-1 at The Stadium of Light, despite, clearly dominating the game.

Sheffield Wednesday are yet to win a game so far this season, losing 6 and drawing 2, and they were on the end of a heavy defeat against Swansea City last time out, losing 3-0 away from home.

Former Sunderland striker, Ashley Fletcher, is currently playing his football at Sheffield Wednesday, on loan from Watford, and he is yet to score his first goal for The Owl’s.

If The Black Cats were to take all 3 points, they would move up to 4th in the table, at least until the 3 o’clock games tomorrow.

A win for The Owl’s would see them climb from rock bottom, to 22nd in the league. Again, at least until tomorrow’s fixtures are played.
