Sunderland 0-0 West Bromwich Albion – Match Report
Bore Draw as The Black Cats fail to break down The Baggies and drop down to 3rd in the table.
Despite now being 10 matches unbeaten, 5 straight draws mean that Sunderland have now dropped to 3rd in the league.
They could drop to 4th if Leeds secure anything from their home match against Luton Town.
West Brom came to the Stadium of Light for a 0-0, and they achieved it, they barely came out of their own half, and offered very little when given the chance to go forward.
Sunderland had a disallowed goal in the 2nd half, as Wilson Isidor’s goal was ruled offside, it looked extremely tight.
Chris Rigg came agonizingly close towards the end, after some great work by Eliezer Mayenda, who pulled it back and Rigg’s shit was brilliantly blocked by Alex Mowatt.
Roberts came close to scoring the winner too, as Hume pulled it back, and Roberts’ delicate touch rolled just past the post.
West Brom almost stole it at the death as they broke forward and Tom Fellows’ cross was met by Lewis Dobbin, who’s shit was blocked off the line by Dan Ballard.
Next up for Sunderland is table-toppers Sheffield United away from home on Friday night, in a huge match at the top of the table.
