About The Role:

J D Wetherspoon is looking for friendly, enthusiastic and reliable Bar Staff to join its team in Houghton-Le-Spring. The role involves serving food and drinks, delivering good customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

No previous experience is required, as training will be provided. Applicants should have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to remain calm in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take orders and prepare and serve drinks to the required standard.
• Deliver food to customers and ensure tables are cleared promptly.
• Provide friendly service and build positive relationships with customers.
• Keep up to date with promotions, events and new products.
• Maintain cleanliness by wiping surfaces, clearing tables and carrying out toilet checks.
• Wash glasses, restock fridges and help keep floors and beer garden areas tidy.
• Work across different areas of the pub as required.

Requirements:

• Proof of the right to work in the UK.
• A bank account in your own name.
• Ability to communicate in English and understand training instructions.
• A fixed place of residence within reasonable travelling distance.
• Basic computer skills.

Working Arrangements:

Flexible shifts are available, including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes. Guaranteed-hours and variable-hours contracts may be available.
