Salary: £31,359.12–£32,076.72 Per Year
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Pattern: 12-Hour Shifts, Monday To Thursday, 46 Hours Per Week. Shifts Run From 6:00am To 6:00pm Or 6:00pm To 6:00am, Rotating Weekly Between Days And Nights.
Start Date: Immediate Start Available

About The Role

Symingtons, now part of Princes Group, is recruiting Prep & Cook Operatives at its Consett site. This is an opportunity to join a food manufacturing business, helping ensure products meet customer requirements and the company’s food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh raw materials according to production and customer requirements.
• Follow recipes consistently and accurately.
• Complete all required role-specific paperwork.
• Carry out cleaning procedures between production changeovers and follow “clean as you go” principles.
• Follow food hygiene and safety instructions.
• Report safety issues to the line manager immediately.
• Protect your own health and safety and that of colleagues.
• Develop skills and knowledge through self-directed learning and company training.
• Represent the company professionally and maintain brand integrity.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills.
• A team-oriented approach and the ability to collaborate with colleagues.
• Right to work in the UK.

Applicants should be able to commute to Consett or plan to relocate before starting.
