The Works is recruiting a Seasonal Retail Sales Assistant to join its Durham store for the busy Christmas shopping season. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, recommending gifts and working as part of a supportive retail team.

The successful candidate will help create an enjoyable shopping experience while supporting the store with seasonal stock, deliveries and product displays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Recommend books, gifts, games, craft products and other seasonal items.
• Help customers find suitable presents and discover new products.
• Promote the brand and help create a positive Christmas shopping experience.
• Replenish stock and maintain attractive product displays.
• Follow merchandising plans and arrange products to catch customers’ attention.
• Receive deliveries, price and label products, and organise stockroom items.
• Support colleagues during busy trading periods.

• Good communication skills and a willingness to recommend products.
• A proactive approach to teamwork and helping colleagues.
