Magnums recalled with ‘do not eat’ warning issued over fears they may contain metal

Magnum Classic Ice Creams are being recalled over fears they may contain pieces of metal.

Unilever has recalled the Magnum Classic Ice Cream Sticks (3 pack) and urged people not to eat the products if they have them in their homes. The warning has also been shared by the Food Standards Agency.

Full details of the items affected are provided below. Magnum Classic ice creams are sold in a number of supermarkets across the UK, including Sainsburys, Waitrose, Morrisons, Iceland and Tesco.

In its recall notice, Unilever states: “Magnum is taking the precautionary measure of recalling a limited number of Magnum Classic Ice Cream Sticks 3x100ml due to internal safety checks showing that they may contain small pieces of metal.

The safety of the people that buy and use our products is always our number one priority which is why we are recalling these products.

“No other Magnum products are affected. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your co-operation.”
