Sunderland VS Burton Albion – Preview

Sunderland recently dropped out of the play off places after a disappointing defeat to MK Dons at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

The Black Cats’ will be hoping to turn their recent horrific form around and earn a first victory in 6 matches on Tuesday night.

Burton themselves are on a poor run of form, winning just 1 of their last 5 games in the league with their only win being a 3-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers last week.

Sunderlamd will need to keep an eye out for England youth international Daniel Jebbison who is currently Burton’s top scorer with 8 goals in 18 games this season despite only being 18 years of age.

The Black Cats’ have their own threat in Ross Stewart who is the league’s top scorer with 19 goals as he ended his mini goal drought during their defeat on Saturday with a wonderfully placed header.

New Sunderland head coach Alex Neil goes into the game hoping for his first victory since arriving last month.
